Learn German the easy way

You want to learn German or improve your German skills? You will find the suitable course with us- no matter if you need it for your studies, your job or your social life. We offer German courses on all levels of the CRF and a range of different types of courses: intensive courses, evening, weekend or summer courses. We can cater to your needs, if you need special courses for companies, institutions and cultural organisations.

The CEFR is a guideline for content and objectives of German courses.

There are four major fields in the courses:

Speaking competence
Writing competence
Listening competence
Reading competence

Grammar, spelling, vocabulary and pronounciation will be trained on every level.

Which course suits me best

Beginner

I do not speak German at all or not very much. I can say my name, ask for directions or order in a restaurant. I understand easy sentences and can answer easy questions.

Experienced

I understand German, can read and write German. I can communicate and understand more complex matters. Academic or literary texts are to hard for me to understand.

Advanced

I read and write academic texts, can communicate on a higher level and I am well versed in grammar, vocabulary and style and want to improve.

I don’t know

I am not sure about my German skills. I can communicate in German, but reading, writing, speaking and understanding are on different levels. I need support to find the right course level for me.

Exams and Registration

ifa Akademie is a telc and TestDaf center. The learning progress of our students will be tested on a regular basis and nearly every course ends with an exam. ifa certificates, telc and TestDaf accepted by authorities. TestDaF is essential for applications at universities or for further education. telc is a basis for the naturalisation process in Germany.

Methods

Our courses are diversified and up to date media tools are used in class. You will work in small groups, in a team of two or by yourself. Role plays, visiting museums or the opera are part of learning German with us.
