Learning by Doing- Our learning methods

Our teachers design their lessons using a variety of different methods, such as interviews, discussions, group work and individual work. You will learn in international groups and will solve problems together - in German! You will speak about content and other aspects of learning and will get to know the cultural and personal differences. Lively discussions and true friendships will evolve from this.

The well equipped rooms allow multimedia-based learning. We work with audio and audiovisual materials, presentations, videoclips, podcasts and interactive exercises.

What's the best way of learning a foreign language? The solution is: " learning by doing" - in the country, where the language is spoken. That's why we speak German in class from the first lesson on.

Thanks to the variety of methods you can practise to understand German in authentic every day situations. Your own presentations in class can be spiced up by using multimedia tools. You will train listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing. Vocabulary and grammar are conveyed as well as orthography and a correct pronunciation are practised. Our common goal is to enlargen your German oral and written skills.

ifa Akademie offers you a learning experience with a variety of methods, individual support, conveying learning strategies and loads of practise.

Our class rooms are technically well furnished with whiteboards, smartboards, beamers, laptops and internet access. You can connect all common smartphones and tablets. Loudspeakers and Bluray players are standard, as well as - depending on your class - flipcharts and pinboards.

Certain courses will be accompanied by e-learning tools. The participants will get access to safe areas of our website and will be able to make new learning experiences. Our classrooms provide WLAN so that more forms of online learning can be provided. Use of WLAN is free for ifa Akademie students.
